Hi all!! I have a quick post for you today! Mom and I are headed out the door for some groceries then back to sew my new pj pants for my retreat this coming weekend. Today, I'm sharing a quick card I created...
The card base was cut using Spellbinders Labels Eight and some AC Dear Lizzy patterned paper. I cut a smaller one twice for the inside layers then covered the seam with some AC Dear Lizzy ribbon. The cherry is a chipboard Thickers accent and I stamped the sentiment using a Unity Stamp. The card was finished off with a row of rhinestones under the sentiment. Like I said, quick card!! ;)
I'm so glad you stopped by today! I'll be back tomorrow to share my new pj pants with you. You won't want to miss them! hehehe

Happy Monday!!!
I had planned on sharing a project with you for the Bella Digi Studio but before I got my project finished, I received notice that the store is closing. The owner is dealing with some personal issues and cannot give the store the attention she feels it needs. So, sadly, she's closing. If there are any images you like she will keep the site up for another week or so. Get 'em while you can.
Don't worry though because I DO have a project to share. My mom had a friend who passed away and she wanted to send the family a card. Here's what I created for her...
The bird stamp is from my Martha Stewart set I bought for $1. I colored the image in with my Copics then cut it out with my Spellbinders Labels Ten Nesties. The background was embossed with my Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder. To give a bit of detail to the side, I punched the edge of a piece of red cardstock with an EK Success punch. The sentiment is from the Ippity by Unity Devoted set. I stamped it then cut it out with my SU! tag punch. The card is finished off with some crinkled ribbon, a flower and some half pearls.
Thanks for stoppin' by today!! I'll be back again tomorrow with another project. See you then!

Sewing Project
Hello everyone!!! Well, more time has definately passed than I had intended. I am sorry for my absence, again. The kids have ALL started school now and I have had some time for me. That's always nice. And, my mom is visiting from Mississippi. I love having her here, especially now that the kids have gone back to school and we have that time for just us during the day. So, what have we been up to you ask??? Well, SEWING!!!!
I bought a sewing machine 10 years ago just before Seth was born. I used if a handful of times to sew patches on my Navy uniforms and made one or two small things for Seth when he was a baby. To say that I'm a novice would be an understatement. There are a few blogs out there that I frequent just to see what's happening. My machine sat, untouched, for quite some time. And, when I finally did decide to break it back out I couldn't get it to work. We busted it out the other day and low and behold, my mom got it working!!! Seems that I had all my setting wrong and she was patient enough to keep going 'til she had it working.
Shelby had a pair of jeans that were just a bit too short for her but since she's so skinny, she'd be able to get another year out of them. Soooo, off to Hobby Lobby we went. $1.68 later I had enough material to add ruffles to the bottom of the pant legs and create some little flowers to add to her shirt (which was also found at Hobby Lobby). Here's what the jeans looked like before I got started...
And here's the finished outfit.
To create the flowers on the shirt, I used my Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities and cut out six circles. I hand stitched them wrong side, turned them right side, gathered them a bit and stitched the opening up. The flowers were sewn to the shirt through the buttons. Here's a closer peek at the flowers on the shirt...
I *think* I will even have enough material left to make her a matching headband after I complete the belt.
I finished another shirt today as well, this time with rhinestones!!! I'll be able to show you that in a few days...when I make the announcement that goes along with it.
In the mean time, I'll be back on Monday with another project for Bella Digi Studio. My oldest has his very first scrimmage football game tonight and we have lots going on this weekend. I hope whatever your weekend plans are you have a great time and enjoy the gorgeous weather we're having!!!

Grateful for You
Hi everyone and welcome back on this lovely Tuesday! Today I'm going to share a quick card I made with Unity's Simple Blessings stamp set...
I used Kraft cardstock for the card base, layered a few pieces of patterned paper from my stash and tied if off with a ribbon. The sentiment was stamped then cut out using Spellbinders Labels Three and the bottom was trimmed off. This card came together really quickly but I love how it turned out.
I'm so glad you stopped by today! I will be back tomorrow with some fun pics from my trip to CHA. Hope to see you then!

Bella Digi Studio Challenge #12
Hello everyone and thanks for joining me on this fabulous Monday! I am back online and slowly catching up. I can't believe how far behind I got on EVERYTHING while traveling. It really wiped me out. hahaha
Anywho, today is Monday so that means another fabulous digi challenge from Bella Digi Studio. Today's challenge is a 3-2-1. 3 patterned papers...2 different embellishments...1 image and sentiment. I picked up some cute little treat boxes last week when I was working the stamp show in Novi, MI so I thought I'd play with them for my project for today. Here's what I created...
I covered the treat box with some Making Memories papers from their Flutter Collection then wrapped it up with a ribbon tied in a knot. The image I used is the party hat from the Little Extras: Birthday Party Goodies set. After printing, I colored my image with my Copics then cut airbrused around it to lighten the white space. The image was cut using Spellbinders Labels Ten then layered onto the Scrap-Mart Exclusive Labels One. I love how nicely they nest together! I printed my sentiment from the Celebrations Collection, airbrused it then cut it out with my SU! Word Window punch. These little boxes are perfect to fill with little candies as party favors or even to give a teacher for back to school!
You can see all the Digi Divas projects on the Bella Studio Blog. And, if you can, play along in our challenge this week for a chance to win two free Bella digi images. You can create your project with ANY image you choose, however, IF you use a Bella image you will receive two entries into the prize drawing!! Be sure to add the link to your challenge POST on the Bella blog via the linky thingy at the bottom of today's post. If you have any questions or problems, just email me at sethdsmom@yahoo.com and I'll help you out! Can't wait to see what you create!

Playing catch up....
Hi everyone! I just thought I'd pop in quickly and let you all know I am home after a loooooong, exhausting but very exciting week. I had a great time at CHA and enjoyed my days in beautiful Valley Forge, PA as well. After flying back to Chicago, I began my drive home and stayed the night in St. Louis, MO with Jenn from the Scrap-Mart design team. We chatted and shopped a bit and had a great time. I made it home late yesterday evening and now I'm playing catch up. Laundry, cleaning, the kids!!! My mom flies in Thursday evening to spend the month here and I leave Friday for Novi, MI. We'll have a booth at the Novi stamp show. I am exicted and hope to meet some fabulous people! Oh yeah, while I was in PA, Sally Lynn McDonald was doing Copic demos in our booth. She taught the Copic certification class I attended earlier this year and it was fun to hang out with her and catch up.
I also have some super-fab exciting news to share but that will have to wait a bit longer before the reveal. But, stay tuned!
Okay, I'm off to check the dryer, download a software update and have a tea party with my daughter. I'll be back soon with some crafty goodness.
