Actually his birthday isn't until Feb. 20 but I figured I'd better get his card made and ready to mail. If I know me it'll sit in the bottom of my purse for 2 or 3 days before I remember to drop it by the post office. My dad isn't really into much. He's been a truck driver for over 30 years. He recently bought a Corvette and he used to ride a Honda Goldwing. But, that's about it. So, it was kind of a challenge creating a card for him. I knew I would have to keep the colors boyish and I knew the plainer the better. So, here's what I came up with.
My friend, Rae, had a card published in PaperCrafts Magazine's March issue. She used the Daisy D's paper and had a large chipboard star on it. I used her card as the inspiration for this one. I loved the Daisy D's Chasing Butterflies line when I came out and I've been cautiously hoarding it. Thanks Rae for the inspiration! Oh, and you can check out Rae's blog HERE. Katie
